2010 Festival of Wine and Flowers
Benefiting St. Luke's Rehabilitation Institute

St. Luke’s Fundraising Event a Great Success

In celebration of our 19th year, St. Luke’s Rehabilitation Institute and their beneficiaries want to thank the event sponsors, supporting wineries, in-kind contributors and you our guests for a successful fundraising event. More than $90,000 in support will contribute to the ongoing mission to serve our patients and touch the lives of those we serve. With the generous support of Festival donors, St. Luke’s will continue to serve our community.

Special thanks to Executive Chef Jim Wolters, and the Manito Golf and Country Club for hosting our wine tasting and auction event. With more than 20 Washington wineries represented the evening was truly an ultra-premium wine tasting and Washington can be proud of the many great wines produced throughout our area.

In addition, The Club at Blackrock hosted our 3rd annual Winemaker's Dinner. Our gratitude and thanks to Executive Chef Jim Barrett and his team for a fabulous and exquisite culinary experience.

Special guest winemaker, Rob Newsom of Boudreaux Cellars and Long Shadows Vintners delighted the guests for a wonderful evening. Rob with his sly sense of humor and passion for winemaking made this an educational experience as well. Awarded the “Best New Winemaker" and “Best New Winery” 2007 by Seattle Magazine, our guests would agree. Rob believes in giving back to the community by being involved in several charity events. We were honored to have him as our guest winemaker for this year’s event.  In addition

Guest’s commented, “This was the best year yet!” in the events 19 year history.
Thank you again for supporting St. Luke’s Festival of Wine and Flowers.
